Meet The Staff

  • Jane Koppang, Clinic Manager

    Jane Koppang joined The Clinic for Oral Health in April 2014 with previous experience as a Patient Care Coordinator. She grew up in Wahpeton and attended North Dakota State College of Science to obtain a degree in Business Managment in 1993. She enjoys the daily interaction with patients and assisting them with their dental needs. She will always greet you with a smile. Jane has been married to Kevin for 25 years and they have three children and two dogs. When not in our office, she enjoys spending time at Ottertail Lake with family and is an avid North Dakota State University Bison football fan.

  • April Anderson

    April Anderson joined The Clinic for Oral Health in January 2020. She is originally from Breckenridge and loves being back home close to family. April is a 2013 graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. She enjoys learning about dentistry & interacting with patients. One of her favorite things about working at the clinic is building relationships with patients and seeing them leave with a smile on their face. April currently lives in Wahpeton with her two children, Landon & Ava, who keep her very busy. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake with family & friends and outdoor concerts.

  • Chloe Bergquist, AASDH, RDA/CDA Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant

    Chloe joined The Clinic for Oral Health in 2016 as a dental assistant and a dental hygienist. Chloe's favorite part about her career is getting to know the patients and teaching them about good oral health and then seeing that they understood what was demonstrated to them. Chloe's primary role is providing dental hygiene to our patients. Chloe's passion for her career is driven by her patients. 'It is always a great feeling when you have a patient come back and you see improvements in their oral health from what you have taught them'.  Chloe was born and raised in Breckenridge, MN which is where she lives with her husband, David, and their sons Briar and Bowen.  In her free time, she enjoys being at the farm, hanging out with family and friends, being at the lake, and traveling.

  • Liza Manikowski, AASDH, Dental Hygienist

    Liza Manikowski joined The Clinic for Oral Health in 2018 as a dental hygienist. Liza graduated in 2016 from North Dakota State College of Science with her degree and worked in Watertown, SD as a dental hygienist for two years before joining our team. She grew up in rural Fairmount, ND. Liza, along with her newly married husband, Levi, enjoy training horses, rodeo, and cowboy mounted shooting as their hobbies. Together, they have 5 horses and a puppy who enjoys traveling with them to weekend events. Liza loves dental hygiene because of the opportunities it gives her to meet people, help them with their oral health, and make an impact on their daily lives. Liza loves getting to know her patients and helping them attain their oral health goals.

  • Makenzie Hams, RDA
    Dental Assistant

    Makenzie Hams joined The Clinic for Oral Health as a registered dental assistant in August of 2018. She obtained her degree from North Dakota State College of Science in July of 2018. With this being her first dental assisting position, she enjoys learning form Dr. Schmidt and the  dental team. Makenzie’s favorite thing about being a dental assistant is getting to do something new every day and to see patients leaving with a smile on their face. Makenzie lives in Wahpeton with her boyfriend Sam. In her spare time she likes camping and being outdoors with friends and family. 

  • Alexis Pankow, RDA
    Dental Assistant

    Alexis Pankow joined The Clinic for Oral Health as a Dental Assistant in July of 2019.  She obtained her degree from North Dakota State College of Science in July of 2018. Alexis’s favorite part about her career is that she gets to help enhance the health of patients and help create smiles that boost patients’ confidence and self-esteem.  Born and raised in Hankinson, ND, Alexis enjoys reading, going to the lake, spending time with her family, friends and her dog.


    At The Clinic for Oral Health, our CRNA’s ensure each patient's comfort by providing a moderate level of sedation.  Our CRNA’s also provide anesthesia services for hospitals within the SE North Dakota area, therefore, we ask our patients who are seeking these services to commit to their reserved appointment times.  Our schedule coordinator will go through our sedation service reservation policies before scheduling and/or upon request of those seeking these additional services.
